Doncakes – Sourdough Discard Kefir Pancakes

Fluffy like doughnuts, easy like pancakes.
These Doncakes are soft, golden, and made with sourdough discard for extra flavor.


Ingredients

  • 350 g flour

  • 450 ml kefir

  • 100 g sourdough discard

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • Salt

  • 2 tsp vanilla (optional)

  • Oil or ghee


How to Make

  1. Whisk egg + salt

  2. Add discard

  3. Warm kefir and mix in

  4. Add vanilla

  5. Combine with flour + baking soda

  6. Rest 30 minutes

  7. Fry 2 minutes per side


Serving

Great with sour cream and blueberry jam.
